Join the Municipality of Meaford with partner Beautiful Joe Heritage Society for an afternoon of dog - friendly fun at the Blue Dolphin Pool. A BBQ and facepainting and vendors for the people and a dip in the pool and treats for the dogs.
Entrance by donation, The dogs can have a dip in the pool, as our end of the year fundraising event. All proceeds go towards the Blue Dolphin Pool.

International Youth Day- Outdoor Movie has been rescheduled to Friday September 5th, 2014 at the Harbour Rotary Pavilion.
Bring a blanket, or chair and settle yourself for an outdoor movie at teh Harbour Rotary Pavilion and watch JACK THE GIANT SLAYER.

Members of the Meaford Co-Operative Preschool will be selling delicious BBQ fare as well as ducks for their annual fundraising Duck Race, with the proceeds supporting the Preschool. Meaford Hall’s bar will be open so you can treat yourself to a beer or glass of wine to go along with your lunch.
2pmMEAFORD DUCK RACE Racing Ducks to support preschool education! The Meaford Cooperative Preschool is thrilled to announce the 7th Annual Great Meaford Duck Race. Watch as 2500 bright yellow ducks are dumped off the Sykes Street bridge and will race down the river! Over 50 prizes to be won. Watch for posters announcing ticket selling locations. 9am-11am PANCAKE BREAKFAST The Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) is serving up Canada Day hot off the griddle. Join us in the Harbour Pavilion tent for a hot off the grill breakfast as the MFRC will be serving up a pancake and sausage breakfast for all to enjoy. The cost is free for all and donations are welcome. All proceeds are going to the Military Family Resource Centre to help us further support the MFRC programs and our military families.
10am-4pm GOLDEN TOWN CRUSIERS CAR SHOW An annual event that you will not want to miss! The Golden Town Cruisers will take over Bayfield Street along the Harbour, with 75-100 classic cars, for all to enjoy. Come down to the harbourside on Bayfield Street and see the great antique, classic and hot-rod cars on display. Be sure to bring the kids to see these beautiful cars of yesteryear. This year, the Canada Day Planning Team held a Youth Design Contest, to design a unique button design, to be sold as a fundraiser event to assist with the cost of the event, including fireworks, entertainment and supporting the groups involved in the planning. Longest Day of PLAY 2014- Saturday June 21, 2014
June 21st will be our annual Longest Day of PLAY event in the Municipality of Meaford. Families were encouraged to participate by being physically active on June 21 and log their activity hours at www.playbrucegrey.com. All activities count, inside or outside – try something new!
Community Services is working had at pulling together a wonderful line up of events to choose from at the Meaford Harbour Rotary Pavilion and other locations. The Municipality of Meaford is partnering with volunteers to celebrate Earth Week. The overall focus is to further develop behaviours and strategies that will work towards Zero Waste in our community.
Earth Week events will start with a spring clean-up at Memorial Park on Sunday, April 20th and close with a Reuse Fair at the Meaford & St. Vincent Community Centre on Saturday, April 26th, 2014.
Groups will have an opportunity to showcase a recent success, present a one-time event or launch a project into the future. Would you like to be part of the celebrations?
